Welcome to the Secondary School at Akhienle Group of Schools

Our Secondary School is where academic excellence meets character development. We prepare students for national examinations and the demands of higher education while shaping them into responsible citizens and future leaders.

Whether in Junior or Senior Secondary, our students are challenged to think critically, act ethically, and pursue their aspirations with confidence.

Curriculum

The secondary curriculum follows the guidelines set by the Ministry of Education and prepares students for the BECE, WAEC, and NECO exams. Subjects offered include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Government, Literature-in-English, Civic Education, ICT, and Technical and Vocational Studies.

Students also engage in continuous assessment through tests, assignments, and practical work to strengthen both understanding and performance.

Passionate and Experienced Teaching Staff

Our secondary teachers are subject specialists with years of classroom experience and a passion for teaching. They use a variety of teaching methods including lectures, case studies, group discussions, and lab experiments to make learning interactive and effective.

Beyond academics, teachers serve as mentors and role models, helping students navigate adolescence with wisdom and empathy.

Class Size and Learning Atmosphere

We keep our class sizes moderate to ensure each student benefits from focused instruction. With a student-teacher ratio of around 20:1, our classes foster active participation, peer collaboration, and individualized support.

The learning atmosphere is disciplined but encouraging, where students are free to express ideas, ask questions, and take academic risks.

Holistic Growth and Future Readiness

Our secondary students graduate not only with solid academic credentials but also with leadership skills, integrity, and a sense of social responsibility. They are ready to excel in tertiary institutions and beyond.
